High Control Efficiency
APC Technologies Inc.’s CP oxidation systems use high-efficiency catalysts to achieve very high control levels at low operating temperatures – and therefore at substantially lower operating costs than thermal oxidizers. The system effectively controls VOC’s, aerosols, odors, and other gas-phase contaminants.
Broad Range of Applications
Applications include: bakeries, chemical plants, coating operations, electronic parts manufacture, food processing, furniture manufacture, foundries, groundwater stripping, painting operations, pharmaceuticals, plastics, polymer manufacture, printing, pulp and paper manufacture, , pharmaceuticals, resins, smoke houses, textile finishing, wastewater treatment, wood-fired boilers, and wood products manufacture.
High Energy Efficiency
With the lower oxidation temperatures allowed in the presence of the catalyst, CP oxidizers in many cases require little or no additional fuel during normal operation. CP oxidation systems also maximize heat recovery through:
- Primary heat exchangers to preheat incoming air;
- Secondary heat exchangers are available to provide process steam, heat, or chilled water, and plant heating and cooling;
- Utilization of heat exchangers with the highest heat transfer efficiency available.
Efficient heat recovery often provides an attractive return on investment and rapid payback on the system’s capital investment.
Unique High-Efficiency Pre-Filter
APC’s unique Ultra High-Efficiency Filter (UHF™) unit removes sub-micron particulate and aerosol prior to entering the oxidizer, typically extending the life of the catalyst by 50% or more, which substantially reduces operating and maintenance costs. The UHF™ unit also improves heat recovery efficiency of the system’s heat exchangers and reduces overall system maintenance costs and downtime.
Lower Operating and Maintenance Costs
APC’s CP oxidation systems have very low operating and maintenance costs for two reasons: the UHF™ pre-filter typically extends catalyst life by 50% or more; and with the presence of the high-efficiency pre-filter and catalyst, fuel costs are substantially lower than conventional catalytic and thermal oxidizers.
