ThermPure thermal oxidizers provide outstanding VOC control efficiency while recovering heat energy through the use of primary and secondary heat exchangers, substantially reducing energy requirements.
Proven Solution for Wide Range of Applications
ThermPure Recuperative Thermal Oxidizers are especially advantageous in VOC control and HAP control applications that:
- Require 99% or higher VOC control or HAP control efficiency
- Have higher particulate matter or condensable VOC loadings that could plug RTO heat transfer media
- Are more intermittent in use (start/stop), as recuperative thermal oxidizers heat up
- Treat corrosive gas streams, which could degrade RTO heat transfer media
- Require the lowest capital cost

ThermPure Series Thermal Oxidizer Systems maximize heat recovery through primary heat exchangers, which heat incoming gases using the oxidizer exhaust. Secondary heat exchangers can provide additional preheating of incoming air, or process steam, hot water or other process or plant heat.

Without the expensive and sensitive heat transfer media of an RTO, APC’s ThermPure Thermal Oxidizers provide excellent VOC control in the presence of higher levels of particulate matter (PM) and aerosols. If necessary, APC’s unique Ultra High-Efficiency Filter (UHF®) unit removes sub-micron particulate and aerosol prior to entering the oxidizer, maximizing heat recovery efficiency of the heat exchangers, and substantially reducing system maintenance costs and downtime for applications where excessive particulate is present.
